Works Outside the Catalogue Raisonné
The Mohammed Sami Studio maintains an ongoing programme of research, documentation and archival classification relating to the artist’s practice.
The forthcoming catalogue raisonné is devoted to Mohammed Sami’s mature artistic production. Works created as academic exercises, student studies and other material outside the defined scope of this project are not included.
Furthermore, the artist expressly rejects the interpretations of these works in certain auction catalogues and secondary-market publications. Such readings are fundamentally inaccurate and do not reflect the intentions behind their creation, the conceptual development of Mohammed Sami’s mature practice, or the direction of his current artistic research. These works should not be presented as representative of his established artistic language or contemporary investigations.
The purpose of this register is to preserve the historical accuracy of the artist’s practice and provide collectors, institutions, and researchers with clear information concerning the status of individual works.
